Refund policy

This policy applies to items bought from the Inspire Dance Academy shop and collected from our Varsity Lakes or Helensvale studios.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Change of mind, wrong size, wrong item

Dance uniform is hard to size from a screen, so we keep this simple. If something does not fit or is not what you expected, bring it back to either studio within 30 days of collecting it and we will exchange it for a different size, colour or item.

To be exchanged, an item must be:

  • unworn and unwashed, apart from trying it on;
  • in its original condition with any tags and packaging still attached;
  • accompanied by your order number or the email confirmation.

If the new item costs more, we will collect the difference at the studio. If it costs less, we will refund the difference to your original payment method.

Items we cannot exchange for change of mind

For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns or exchanges on tights, socks, or dance briefs once the packaging has been opened. This does not affect your rights if the item is faulty.

Faulty items

If an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, contact us and we will sort it out — repair, replacement or refund, depending on the fault. Please tell us as soon as you notice the problem. Reasonable wear and tear from regular class use is not a fault.

Backordered items

Some items are ordered in for you and typically take one to four weeks to arrive. You may cancel a backordered item for a full refund at any time before you collect it — just let us know.

How to start a return or exchange

Bring the item and your order number to either studio during open class hours, or contact us first if you would rather arrange it in advance:

Refunds are returned to the original payment method and usually appear within five business days of us processing them, depending on your bank.
